Definitely a possibility. I’m anxious to put some new ProV1s through a similar test. Obviously if I have a much higher rate of “good” balls buying new, that develops a much stronger argument for just buying new to begin with.
$62 spent for basically 13 good balls. May as well just go new if I can get a 80%+ good ratio buying new.
At least I have a bunch of shag/practice balls now. My club has a 6 hole “quarry course” that is notorious for eating golf balls. Usually take range balls out there, guess now I can take these Prov1s out.
For the record, there were maybe 5 or 6 that were clearly very largely off center and I’m sure would visibly appear off center. The rest were noticeably “untrue” but not as bad as a handful that snapped back to the same position immediately.
